Una Giornata di Equilibrio

Yesterday's blog was done with no pictures of the outdoors!  It required great constraint, but as we spent a lot of time in the studio yesterday, we were a little more controlled about the sightseeing shots.  That does not mean, however, that we didn't get a few good ones.........so this is how we are starting today's blog.....more pictures of the sea and the pine trees! While these shots undeniably dominant the picture scene of what we are posting, you can't imagine how many shots we have edited out!  At the end of the day, most of images will probably blur into a general recollection of the beauty of the place, but we have a lot of fun in the 'capture the moment' escapades!

To this end, we have included a 'seaside' video as well in the blog today (although the process of putting video on the blog is challenging.....not sure the results are too good!).  The sea has been quite rough and dramatic the past few days.  The skies are clear, but the surf is quite 'arrabiata' - like the penne pasta.....hot and angry!

The following images are a small sampling of our thoughts on the thematic issues raised in yesterday's blog post.  We are exploring several themes.....still in transition, but clear enough to show:

SHARED SPACE

1.   Cultivation and Natural Order
(a study of the interaction between landscape & built forms)

2.   Layered Revelations of Time
(a documentation of balance between surface stability and erosion)

3.   Facade Coverings
      (an essay illustrating 'hanging laundry')

Illustrations for all three follow.
