Viaggio da Dublino a Milano

We had the wonderful opportunity of getting up at 4:15 Sunday morning to head back to the airport.  It was actually not as painful as we had expected.  Grabbed a cup of coffee and a banana in the room and had a taxi waiting for us.  There was a surprising amount of activity in the city.......according to the cabbie, an equal amount of folks drifting home from the clubs and those just getting up!

The airport was more crowded than one might expect, but we managed to get through all the lines ok and boarded on time.  The flight was totally packed with teenagers heading back to Italy from a class trip.  All went well (except a really  funky guy sitting next to Andi.......in the end quite curious about what we were doing.

Landed at Milano Linate and rented our car with no problem........AutoEurope and Dollar Rent-a-Car!

Then off on our adventure to find Benevello and Relais Villa d'Amelia for the night.

Ticket Counter........good to have printed our boarding passes!
Customs........just read a sign saying no photos!
Couldn't resist a croissant in the airport!
beautiful sunrise

One of the more unexpected early morning surprises was the view.  Although a bit cloudy to start, we got some nice views of the Irish coast leaving Dublin.  The highlight, however, was a spectacular view of the Alps as we flew over Switzerland.
